One more update before the Holidays!

Well, all is going well on the renovations. We are painting the laundry room and getting ready for our trip to Tahoe for the holidays. The windows and siding are essentially complete minus one snafu with the ordering of windows for the kitchen. Turns out the contractor ordered a bigger-than-needed window for the kitchen and forgot to call us to ask if it would be OK. So he went to install the window and it just wouldn't fit in the opening. So, feeling bad about it and knowing these custom windows couldn't be reused or returned, he offered to install them anywhere in the house with free labor! NICE!

Since we had already installed 4 new windows into the house where there were not ones before, we decide to put these windows in the garage! So we got 2 free windows for our garage which will add nice light and ventilation. The only drawback is we must now wait 4 weeks to get the new windows from Marvin Windows. But, it's all seal-up for now and the siding is done and looks great.

I forgot my camera today so I don't have a picture to update but I will update the blog while we are in Tahoe with an update on skiing and relaxing!
